She was a native of Polk County, and graduated from Stearns High School in 1944. Juanita was an expert seamstress and a member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild, making fabric children&squo;s toys she designed. She was also a Certified Nursing Assistant, serving at nursing homes and as a visiting nurse.

She is survived by her two brothers, Whitson Edwards of Mill Spring and Lloyd Edwards of Rutherfordton.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009 at 2 p.m. in Bethlehem United Methodist Church, Mill Spring, with Rev. Danny Tapp officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 p.m. until

2 p.m. in the church.
