He was the son of the late Dewey and Lillie Bishop Wilson. Norman was predeceased by his wife, Joyce Wilson and was a U.S. Army Veteran.

Survivors include his former wife and close friend Linda Galloway; a son, Shawn Eugene Wilson of Spartanburg; a daughter, Lynette Jeffries of Spartanburg; a step-daughter, Amy Stewart of Landrum; a brother, Walter Wilson of Charlotte, N.C.; one sister, Blanche Schram of Spartanburg; six grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.

Services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009 at the Stribling Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Joe Dempsey officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m., prior to the service. Interment will be at Fairforest Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family is at the home of Linda Galloway, 115 Frey Road, Spartanburg.
