Ms. Williams opened for business in 1939 and was the owner / innkeeper for many years. &bsp;

The present owners, James R. Blanton and Gary W. Corn, will host a 70th anniversary dinner party in May, at which time the commemorative plaque will be presented.

The owners and/or representatives of the other 17 properties listed on the National Register in Polk County will be the invited guests for the event. &bsp;

Mill Farm Inn says the event is thought to be the first gathering of this type in Polk County and should help raise awareness of the need for more historic preservation in the area.
