He was the son of the late James E. and Victoria Page Brock and widower of Ruth Corn Brock. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church and retired from Bommer Industries.

He was the last surviving member of his family.

Graveside services were held Monday, Feb. 2, 2009 at Evergreen Memorial Gardens conducted by Dr. John Fortner.
