A benefit will be held tomorrow for Henry Bontrager, who was injured while working in December.

The benefit will be held at the Foothills Community Church, 2720 Landrum Road near Green Creek. Breakfast will be served from 7 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.

Bontrager, who is self employed as a brick mason, was working on Dec. 2, 2008 on a scaffold when the scaffold collapsed. Bontrager fell and broke his leg in two places.

After surgery that placed pins and bolts to fix the breaks, doctors say Bontrager will be out of work for another three months.

Bontrager says he has done this type of work for many years on many scaffolds, but this is the first time something of this nature has ever happened.

He is married and has six children.
