Friends of Harmon Field celebrates two year anniversary Thursday

Published 5:34 pm Wednesday, January 14, 2009

In October 2007, Harmon Field celebrated its 80th birthday, and the Friends of Harmon Field gave it a huge celebration, complete with craft vendors, food vendors, inflatables, and various sports activities.

Members of the Friends have been involved in various activities over the past two years. They volunteered at the Hendersonville Apple Festival just prior to the birthday celebrations in order to secure some inflatables for the birthday celebration.

With the expertise and direction of Judith Gosser and Vaughn Loeffler, the Friends repainted the old maintenance shed and fixed up the bulletin board so that announcements of what is happening at Harmon Field can easily be seen by everyone.
