She was a native of Pittsburgh, Pa., and daughter of the late Edward and Veronica Lyden Coen. She was the widow of John Koester.

She is survived by a son, Robert Koester and wife Nancy of Pittsburgh, Pa.; two daughters, Janice Koester of Australia and Lynne Koester-Anchisi and husband Francesco Anchisi of Columbus, and Milan, Italy; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey Koester.

The family will receive friends from 5-6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6 at Petty Funeral Home, Landrum.
