Landrum girls trounce Greenville Tech Charter

The Landrum women&squo;s basketball team continued to play hot basketball on Friday night.

The Lady Cardinals limped into the Battle at the Border Showcase the weekend before New Year&squo;s, but came out with some confidence.

That confidence showed on Friday night when Landrum beat region foe Greenville Tech Charter 51-32.

The Lady Warriors kept things close in the first half. Offensively, both teams were grinding it out slow.

Landrum head a 15-14 lead at the half.

But the Lady Cardinals&squo; offense, led by Jordan Jenkins, got things going in the second half.

In the third quarter, the Lady Cardinals outscored Greenville Tech Charter 13-8. It was the fourth quarter, however, when the Lady Cardinals put the nails in the coffin.

Landrum erupted for a 23-10 fourth quarter.

Jordan Jenkins led the way for Landrum with 12 points. Kelly Mullins added nine points and Rosaruth Parton scored eight points. Jordan Corn added seven points, Alicia Belue scored six and Meghan Pitts added three.Elizabeth Edmondson, Brianna Bateman and Morgan Williams each scored two points.
