Adolfo Taboado

He was born on Oct. 1, 1952 and was known to many as &dquo;Miguel&squo;s dad,&dquo; or even &dquo;Pop.&dquo; Others addressed him as the &dquo;elder,&dquo; knowing he was the father of Miguel, Israel, Mauro, Orlando and Deana, who have all worked at their family&squo;s restaurant, El Sureno, in Columbus.

He greeted you with a smile and after only one visit he knew if you wanted hot, mild, or both, two bowls or three ‐ he always remembered any special requests. He took great pride in his work and in his family. His smile, his laugh, his greeting, seeing him walking in Columbus every day, and his simple presence here will be greatly missed and honorably remembered.

Adolfo spent many years doing landscaping work in various places across the United States but settled into the restaurant business along with his sons and called Columbus his home for the past 10 years.
