A native of Atlanta, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Carl and Sara Bryan Pickett and she was first married to the late Hunter Van Sicklen for 57 years, then to John Taylor, who died in 2002.

She was a member of The Tryon Fine Arts Center as an artist and actress.

She is survived by two daughters, Lindsay Van Sicklen of Arkadelphia, Ark., and Sally Goldin and husband Dave of Pelham, Mass.; two grandchildren, Josh Leeman and Rachel Seal.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Dec. 31, 2008 in Tryon Estates Auditorium.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 130 Forest Glen Drive, Columbus, N.C.&bsp; 28722.
