Evelyn Miller

She was born in Detroit, Mich., on June 11, 1920. Mrs. Miller was the administrator of customer

relations at the First Lake Forest National Bank for a number of years. She retired in 1980. She was a full-time mother and homemaker.

She enjoyed square dancing, gardening, and the wildlife that frequented her yard in Columbus.&bsp; She was a skilled quilter and was a member of both the Landrum Quilters and Quiet Quilters. She was also an avid sports fan.

Survivors include her daughter, Suzanne L. Miller, as well as her brother, Allston Whitney, and his wife, Virginia; all of Columbus. &bsp;

Mrs. Miller was predeceased by her husband, Warren Emerson Miller, their son, Warren Michael Miller, and her two sisters, Elizabeth Whitney and Maryalice Sharpshair.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008 at

1 p.m. at the Columbus Presbyterian Church&squo;s Fellowship Hall.

Memorial donations may be made to the Foothills Humane Society.
