A native of Longbranch, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Margaret Ann Harvey and the wife of Norman Schlaack Jr.

She was a retired nurse, a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, volunteer at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills and a former volunteer at Steps to Hope.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Norman Schlaack III; a brother, Jack Harvey; two sisters, Barbara Ray and Betty Koontz, and two grandchildren.

Services will be private. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 130 Forest Glen Drive, Columbus, N.C. 28722.
