Marguerite Tolbert

Born in Walnut Grove on May 24, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Frank T. and Olevi Williams Harrison. Marguerite attended Walnut Grove United Methodist Church and was retired from Powell Knitting Mill. She was lovingly known as &dquo;Aunt Mar&dquo; and lived most of her life in Stone Station.
Marguerite was first married to the late Julian B. Caldwell and then to the late Glenn T. Tolbert.
She is survived by two sisters, Elizabeth Puette of Roebuck and Frances Hyatt of Tryon; one brother, Robert W. Harrison of Inman, and several loving nieces and nephews. Marguerite was predeceased by three brothers and three sisters.
Graveside services were held Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008 in Heritage Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. James W. Hatchell.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Carolina Foothills, 130 Forest Glen Drive, Columbus, N.C. 28722, or a charity of one&squo;s choice.
