Elizabeth Plumley

Born Aug. 21, 1934, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Lura P. Emery. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Freewill Baptist Church in Lynn and was the widow of Marshall C. Plumley, who died in 1984.

Surviving are three daughters, Deborah Walker of Campobello, Margaret Gilbert of Campobello, and Laura Jean Owens of Illinois; one brother, Johnny Emery and wife Joyce of Greenwood, S.C.; and a sister, Alice Levi of Lynn.&bsp; Also surviving are many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.&bsp; She was preceded in death by a grandson Joshua and a granddaughter Shelly.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday,

Nov. 6, 2008 in Pleasant Valley Freewill Baptist Church in Lynn with Rev. John Williams and Rev. Buddy Metcalf officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service on Thursday in Pleasant Valley Freewill Baptist Church.

Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbus.

The family will be at the home of her daughter, Margaret Gilbert, 2195 Motlow Creek Rd., Campobello, S.C.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Elizabeth Emery Plumley Memorial Fund, P. O. Box 280, Tryon, N.C. 28782.
