Billy Campbell

He was the husband of the late Olvie P. Campbell and son of the late Ed and Nancy L. Campbell.

He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He was retired from Landrum Mills.

He served in the Army&squo;s 94th Infantry Division during the Battle of the Bulge. He received a medal from the Czechoslovakian government for his part in their liberation.

He is survived by two sons, Jerry Z. Campbell and wife Susan of Spartanburg and James E. Campbell and wife Deborah of Landrum; and his caregivers Teresa Thompson and Steve Brown.

Funeral services were held Monday at Fairview Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Chuck Mullinax. Burial was in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 130 Forest Glen Drive, Columbus, N.C.&bsp; 28722 or to the Building Fund of Fairview Baptist Church, 705 Hwy 14 West, Landrum, S.C. 29356.
