Charles Howard

He was born Nov. 1, 1919, in Trenton, N.J., but spent most of his early years in Buffalo, N.Y. His parents were the late Clarence Earl and Florence Lantman Howard. He was an electrical engineer, a veteran of the U. S. Navy, serving in WWII, and a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Bernice Wiesmore Howard; five children, Ronald Howard of Florida, Jane Copeland of Campobello, Charlene Lewis of Boiling Springs, Raymond Howard of Inman, and Charles Howard of Campobello; seven grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008, at the Floyd&squo;s Boiling Springs Chapel, conducted by Pastor Wayne Martin. Burial was at Good Shepherd Memorial Park.
