Non-profits host activities

A number of non-profit organizations will participate this year, including the Polk County Historical Association, American Field Services, Polk County Public Library, VFW Women, Mill Spring Fire Department and more. Each organization will have a tent on the Stearns lawn, where they will offer a variety of activities.

Pumpkin carving contest

Everyone is invited to enter the pumpkin carving contest (there is a small fee). Pumpkins and carvers are provided; all you need is your creativity.

The pumpkin carving section will be located on the Stearns lawn and will be open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Judging will take place at 6 p.m. You do not need to be present to be a winner at the time of judging.

All proceeds from the contest will be donated to the non-profit organizations participating in the Columbus Day Celebration.
