Annie Cheatham

Cheatham was born in Spartanburg on Jan. 8, 1921, the daughter of the late Furman and Cleavie McAbee Foster.

She was the widow of J.C. Cheatham and she was first married to the late Clyde Moore.

Survivors include a daughter, Edith Mahaffey of Campobello; a granddaughter, Brenda Pruitt of Campobello; a grandson, Kenneth Mahaffey of Wellford; three great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Doris &dquo;Dot&dquo; Pruitt.

She was a member of Parkway Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

Funeral services were held at Seawright Funeral Home at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008 with Rev. Mitchell Edge officiating. Burial followed in New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan Care Hospice, 500 Jeff Davis Drive Spartanburg, S.C. 29303.
