Kenneth Shipman

Born in Polk County on

May 12, 1959, he was the son of Louise Lowe Shipman of Inman and the late Billy O. Shipman, and&bsp; the husband of Carmen Givens Shipman. He was a member of Holston Creek Baptist Church.

Other survivors include two daughters, Shannon Bailey of Rutherfordton and Andrea Williams of Forest City; one son, Buck Givens of Forest City, one sister, Lynn Powers of Inman; eight grandchildren, and a special aunt, Judy Brown of Spartanburg.

Funeral services will be held at Seawright Funeral Home, Inman, at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008, conducted by Rev. Donnan Lawson. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends Thursday, Oct. 2, 2-3 p.m. at Seawright Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, S.C. 29303.

Seawright Funeral Home and Crematory of Inman is in charge of arrangements.
