Born on

Nov. 4, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Tom and Lizzie Bell Taylor of Spartanburg.

She was first married to the late J. Roy Johnson, Sr. and lived in Campobello, where she was a homemaker, a substitute teacher, a bookkeeper for Sears and an active faithful member and Sunday School teacher at Campobello Baptist Church. She later was married to the late Earl Koon of Landrum. She lived happily at Skylyn Place in Spartanburg for the past 20 years and attended Fernwood Baptist Church.

Mrs. Koon is survived by a sister, Evelyn Syfrett of Ladson, S.C.; son, Roy Johnson, Jr and wife Janice; son, Tom Johnson and wife Donna, both of Spartanburg; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Donald and sisters, Alice, Vivian and Marjorie.

The family will receive friends from 1-2:30 p.m. Monday,

Sept. 29, 2008 at Bobo Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Dr. Doug Cushing.

Memorials may be made to Fernwood Baptist Church, Campobello First Baptist Church or to the charity of one&squo;s choice.
