Born in Boat Harbor, Newfoundland, she was the daughter of the late Joshua Wilson and Selina Koeping Denty. Mrs. Dykes lived most of her life in Georgia, before moving to Polk County in 2005. She was the oldest graduate of Isothermal Community College, where she attended the Adult High School Program and received her G.E.D.

Mrs. Dykes is survived by:&bsp; one daughter, Barbara C. Moffitt of Mill Spring; two sons, Beeper Crying Golden Eagle of Brownwood, Texas, and William Robert Dykes II of North Pole, Alaska. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Mrs. Dykes was preceded in death by two sons, Leon Worth Clarke and Michael Denty Lyles.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
