He was the son of Goldie Copeland of Inman and a native of Spartanburg County. He wa preceded in death by his father, John Hurst.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one brother, Aaron D. Hurst of Inman; stepfather Robert Copeland; one son, Terry Antron Hurst Jr., and a longtime friend, Waverline Wingo of Tryon; grandparents Charlie and Cornelia Cathcart of Inman; aunt Money Huff of Inman; uncle Alfred Figgins of Greer; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008 at New Pilgrim Baptist Church, Rainbow Lake Rd., Campobello, at 3 p.m. Rev. Gerald Searles will officiate. The body will be in the church at 2 p.m.
