Born in Cuba, he was the son of Rodolfo Cedeno of Tryon and the late Minerva Ruiz.

Surviving in addition to his father is one son, Eric Cedeno of Tennessee; one daughter, Lauren Cedeno of Spartanburg; one sister, Vivian Worthington of Gaffney.&bsp; Also surviving are four nieces.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Aug. 10, 2008 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, with Rev. Bill Adair officiating.

Burial was in Polk Memorial Gardens, Columbus.
