Evelyn Snyder

Born March 30, 1924, in Polk County, she was the daughter of the late John L. and Mattie Champion Morris and the wife of the late George Snyder. She was devoted and faithful to Beaumont Baptist Church and a member of the Women&squo;s Bible Class for many years. She was an avid reader, a big sports fan, and always enjoyed her flowers.

Survivors include three sisters, Lillian Morris of Longwood, Fla., Mildred Thrasher of Spartanburg, and Hoyet Wall of Greenville; three nieces; five nephews; eight great-nieces and nephews; and several extended nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Lindsey Morris; two sisters, Nig Morris and Lula Morris; and two nieces.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2008, at Sunset Memorial Park, conducted by the Rev. John H. Cox. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
