Conner was born in Rutherfordton in January, 1928. He was a retired weaver for Mastercraft.

Survivors include: three daughters, Lisa Dotson of Lake Lure, Rhonda Richardson of Union Mills, and Tammy Teague of Rutherfordton; a son, Vernon Lee Conner of Rutherfordton; a brother, Paul Daggerhart of Chesnee; a sister, Barbara Ann Espinoza of Ellenboro, N.C.; 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Daggerhart, his mother, Vestie (Conner) Daggerhart, and a son, Robert Ricky Taylor.

Funeral services will be Thursday, July 31 at 2 p.m. in Crowe&squo;s Funeral Chapel in Rutherfordton.

Conner will be buried in Sunset Memorial Park, Forest City. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, P.O. Box 336, Forest City, N.C. 28043.
