He was predeceased by brothers J.C., William and Charles, as well as sisters Etta Mae, Cora and Alma. He is survived by sisters Helen Berry and Wilma Moody, and three daughters, one son, and five grandchildren.

Services will be held Thursday, July 31, 2008 at Woods Mortuary, Greer, S.C.`
