Bill Ashmore, who owns Miss Daisy Moped Sales and Bill&squo;s Detail Shop on N. Howard Avenue in Landrum, says it&squo;s just not safe anymore to sell a car in your yard.

He offers residents a spot on his lot to sell their car safely, with him taking a percentage of the sale.

Cockman was murdered in 2004 at the Gowensville crossroads by a couple who was looking at the Chevy Suburban he had for sale there.

Cockman met the couple at the vehicle and they kidnapped him using the vehicle he was selling. He was murdered in the Suburban.

The couple, David Edens and Jennifer Holloway, was caught in Sevierville, Tennessee. Edens and Holloway are serving a life sentence in prison after being convicted of&bsp; Cockman&squo;s murder.

Ashmore says he&squo;s been in car sales for 40 years and even he is cautious.
