Humane Society starts Sunday hours

The Foothills Humane Society has introduced new Sunday afternoon hours for those residents looking for their perfect pet.

&dquo;It&squo;s a wonderful day to make a great addition to your family and help a deserving dog or cat find their forever home,&dquo; humane society officials say.

Volunteer director of shelter operations Margo Savage says the addition of Sunday afternoon hours was a natural extension of Foothills Humane Society&squo;s user-friendly focus.

&dquo;Our adoption results have been really good on Saturdays and during the Thursday evening hours we added, which tells us that people like the convenience of coming in after work and when the kids are done with school and other activities,&dquo; she said. &dquo;Sundays will be another convenient day for families and we&squo;re also happy that our dogs and cats will be enjoying visitors on one more day of the week.&dquo;

Foothills Humane Society&squo;s new Sunday hours are 1-4 pm.&bsp; The shelter is also open from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and on Friday and Saturday.
