Born August 2, 1941, in Anderson, S.C., he was the son of Katherine Reaves Moore of Spartanburg and the late Glenn Acker Moore and the husband of Janice Conerly Moore. He attended USC-Upstate and was retired from the U.S. Air Force and Sam&squo;s Club. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church and a Mason.

Surviving in addition to his mother and wife are his children, Kim, Robbie, Diana, Julie, and Jeff; a sister, Rebecca; a brother, Richard; two grandsons; seven granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at Floyd&squo;s Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held at

3 p.m. Thursday, July 3, 2008, at Central United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Luther H. Rickenbaker III and Dr. George Fields. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central United Methodist Church Building Fund, 233 North Church Street, Spartanburg, S.C. 29306.

The family is at the home of his mother, Katherine Moore, 126 Stribling Circle, Spartanburg.
