Bittle is the first Wolverine thrower to qualify for the Nike Outdoor Nationals in Greensboro, North Carolina.
The dancing bear finished fourth in the emerging elite shot put category, adding to an already stacked resume that includes two state championships. Bittle will be playing football this fall at Mars Hill.
Bittle wrestled and played football at Polk County.
