On June 27 at 7 p.m., the ninth season of Summer Tracks – Tryon&squo;s summer concert series – kicks off in Rogers Park with Gas House Mouse and Fayssoux McLean. Fayssoux McLean, harmony vocalist on many Emmylou Harris albums, opens the evening and will be showcasing her recently released CD Early which includes old friends Emmylou Harris, David Ball, Ricky Skaggs and the Whites. Joining her this evening is dynamic blues guitar virtuoso Brandon Turner. Gas House Mouse&squo;s driving, funky blues and R&B mix produces toe-tappin&squo;, grin-formin&squo;, heck-with-your-troubles, there&squo;s-a-party-goin&squo;-on music. Classic gems, roadhouse favorites and original tunes interpreted with swingin&squo; horn, rock-solid keyboards, soulful guitar, and booty shakin&squo; bass and drums make it hard to stay in your seat

Admission is free, though a voluntary donation at the gate is encouraged. The generous sponsorships provided by local businesses also make these shows possible. There will again be sandwich wraps, hot dogs, homemade ice cream, water and soft drinks for sale.

As in past summers, the series of six concerts offers a mix of musical styles. Concerts run from 7-10 p.m. Scheduled to perform this year are:
