Jeanne Seaman

Born in the Bronx, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Constance Storay. She was the widow of Cedric &dquo;Skip&dquo; M. Seaman, who died in 2002. She grew up in Crestwood and later moved to Hartsdale, N.Y. Mrs. Seaman was an X-ray technician for 25 years and was the head of the radiology department of the Lawrence Hospital in White Plains, N.Y., for six years. She worked privately for a well-known spinal surgeon until her retirement. In 1988, she and her husband moved to Polk County from Hartsdale.

Surviving are: a sister, Ina McNeely of Hawley, Pa.; two stepsons, Richard Seaman of Brentwood, Calif. and Steven Seaman of Acworth, Ga.; also surviving are five nieces and five nephews and 24 grand nieces and nephews; two step-grandsons and one step great-grandchild.

The family is planning private memorial services.
