Born in Spartanburg County, August 27, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Lula Wilson Cantrell. Mrs. Arledge was a member of Beulah Baptist Church.

Surviving are three sons, Charles, and wife Marie of Tryon, Herbert, and wife Judy of Greenville, and Bobby, and wife Beverly of Tryon; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Arledge was predeceased by three sons, Hurshel, Willie and Rex Arledge; daughter, Shirley Williams; two granddaughters, Alice Gay Arledge and Lisa Arledge; one great-grandson, Jeffery Arledge.

The family received friends from 2-3 p.m. Sunday, June 15, 2008 at Beulah Baptist Church.&bsp; Funeral services followed at

3 p.m. at the church, conducted by Rev. Charles Arledge and Dr. Joel Wright.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.
