Marion Smith

Born in Greenwood, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Hugh T. and Lillie Irene Jackson Sullivan. Mrs. Smith was retired from Wofford College after 23 years of service. She enjoyed working in her rose and vegetable gardens and loved to cook. Mrs. Smith was a member of Enoree Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Sandra S. Taylor of Roebuck; four brothers, Bill W. Sullivan and Marvin Sullivan, both of Greenwood, Frank Sullivan of Simpsonville, and Rudolph Sullivan of Laurens; two sisters, Mattie Nelson and Jennell Garrett, of Enoree; three grandchildren, Pat Taylor of Roebuck, Chad Taylor and of Boone, N.C., and Ashley Bradley of Columbus; and six great grandchildren. Mrs. Smith was predeceased by two sisters, Viola Prather and Zelma Hudson and a brother, Cecil Sullivan.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, June 8, 2008 at Dunbar Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Reverend Dr. Tim Williams and Reverend Ondra Black with burial in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.
