Tryon farmer’s market makeover

Published 12:39 pm Wednesday, June 4, 2008

Launching Thursday, June 5 and running through the summer, Tryon&squo;s farmer&squo;s market is getting a new look and feel. A new day of the week and a new location are part of the &dquo;market makeover.&dquo;

Wednesdays are a thing of the past, as Thursdays take over for Tryon&squo;s market. The core of the market will start at the Trade Street parking lot (between Isadora&squo;s Closet and Simple Simon&squo;s) and will run from 4:30 p.m. to approximately 6 p.m.

Along with locally grown veggies and flowers, vendors with hot brick pizzas and local crafters and artisans will fill the streets and up to the Depot parking lot. There are also plans for possible plant and small shrub vendors.
