Jackson was born in Polk County, N.C., on July 10, 1948, the son of the late Andrew and Ollie (Blackwell) Jackson. He was the husband of Ollie (Helms) Jackson.

He is survived by one son, Clinton Dale Jackson of Henrietta, N.C.; four step-daughters, Teresa Raines of Spartanburg, Ruthie Raines of Wellford, Kay Raines of Boiling Springs, Lynn Raines of Wellford; three sisters, Louvennie Ridings of Chesnee, Lora Lancaster of Henrietta, Betty Wood of Cooley Springs; two brothers, Buford Jackson of Chesnee, Billy Jackson of Chesnee and nine grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sisters, Pauline Robinson and Viola Seder, and one brother, Willard Jackson.

Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 3 at Broad River Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Ray Allison and Rev. Sandra Smith officiating.

Seawright Funeral Home and Crematory of Inman was in charge of arrangements.
