Arthur Davis

He was the son of the late Thomas C. and Annie Champion Davis and husband of the late Myrtle Phillips Davis, who passed away on November 10, 2007.

He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, a WWII veteran, and the retired owner of Davis Garage in Landrum. He was a member of Landrum First Baptist Church.

He is survived by three daughters, Patricia Forrester of Inman, Norma Jean Moss of Anderson, and Sandra McClure of Campobello; one son, Keith Davis of Tryon; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by five brothers, Clarence Davis of High Point, N.C., Troy Davis&bsp; and Allen Davis of Campobello, Toy Davis of Woodruff, SC, and Loyd Davis of Liberty, S.C. He was predeceased by three sisters and two brothers.

The family will receive friends at Petty&squo;s Funeral Home on Friday, May 2, 2008 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

The funeral services will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Saturday, May 3, 2008, at 1 p.m., conducted by Reverend Loyd Davis and Dr. Paul Moore.&bsp; Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Landrum.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Derek Forrester, Brad Forrester, Joshua Moss, Adam McClure, and nephews, Mark and Roger Davis.
