She had been a resident of White Oak Manor-Tryon for the past four and half years.

Annie George Williams was born February 15, 1911 in Laurens. She was the wife of the late Jim Baber Williams Sr. and the daughter of the late John Scott George and the late Carrie Emma Cain George. She was also preceded in death by five sisters and four brothers.

Mrs. Williams was a retired elementary school teacher and a former resident of Farmville, Va., Saxapahaw, N.C., and Burlington, N.C. She was a member of Saxapahaw United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Miss Bobbie Williams of Mars Hill and Mrs. Joan W. Uhrich (Bill) of Flat Rock; son, Jim B. Williams Jr. (Annette) of Tremonton, Utah; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be on Saturday, May 10 at 11 a.m. in the Saxapahaw United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Marc W. Rickabaugh officiating.

The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the service.
