Leon Pierce

A native of Greenville County, he was son of the late Claude and Maude Howard Pierce and husband of Betty Jean Pierce. In the 1960s, he was owner of Pierce Motors in Greenville.

He is survived by two sons, Randy Pierce of Taylors and Phillip Pierce of Tryon; a brother, Sam Pierce of Landrum; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sons, Danny and Michael Pierce, and brothers and sisters, Virge Pierce, Wilma Suddeth, Eurl Pierce and Delsia Bradley.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at the business of Barbara Pierce-Britt, The Country Mouse Inn, 120 North Trade Street, Landrum. Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2008 at Blue Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, conducted by Rev. Bobby Pierce.
