A native of Tryon, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Elmer Wilson Johnson.

She was a member of Garrison Chapel Baptist Church and a retired security guard.

She is survived by a son, Dave Frank Griffin; three brothers, David Johnson, Lloyd Cummings, Steven Richmond; a sister, Lana Miller; three grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Kim Chez Case.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 26 at Garrison Chapel Baptist Church, Tryon, conducted by pastor Kenneth Knox.
