Stanley Mefford Sr.

A native of Middlesboro, Ky., son of Helen Mont Mefford Humfleet of the home and the late James Louis Mefford, he was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, a retired employee of The Clorox Corporation in Tampa, Fla., and of the Baptist faith.

Also surviving are five sons, Rodney Palmer, Stanley Earl Mefford Jr. and Richard Mefford, all of Xenia, Ohio, Tony Mefford of York, and Jason Mefford of Greer; a brother, David Humfleet of Campobello; a sister, Margie A. Whitacre of Campobello; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Mefford was predeceased by one son, Timothy Mefford and one brother, Paul Mefford.

Funeral services were held

at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 5 at the Wood Mortuary, conducted by Rev. Michael Humfleet. Burial&bsp; followed in Wood Memorial Park.
