Mrs. DeGroot was born in Campobello, a daughter of the late Arthur and Emily Nantz. She was retired as a LPN. Mrs. DeGroot was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, John; sons, Michael, Wayne, Michael and William; daughters, Debbie, Kathy, Linda, Stephanie, Adrienne; 13 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brothers, Douglas and Robert; and sisters, Helen and Beedy.

Funeral services will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 8 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel, with Father Ray Carlo officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the services.
