Mildred Rhodes

Born Sept. 13, 1920, in Great Falls, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Esther Cooper Allen and the wife of the late James W. Rhodes. She was a member of the former Mitchell Memorial Wesleyan Church.

Survivors include two sons, William M. Rhodes of Spartanburg, and David P. Rhodes of Campobello; a daughter, Donna R. Harris of Pauline; a sister, Jeroline Hughes of Gaffney; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by a great-grandson.

Visitation was 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at Floyd&39;s Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 3, 2008, at Floyd&39;s Greenlawn Chapel conducted by the Rev. Stephen Johnson and the Rev. Clegg Taylor. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
