Born in Wilkes County, N.C., she was the daughter of June Segrades Call of Wilkesboro&bsp; and the late Isaac Call. For many years, she ran a daycare out of her home and was currently employed at Hatch Mill, Columbus as a cloth inspector.

Surviving in addition to her mother is her partner, Charles Harper; one son, Paul Barry Johnson of Newark, Ohio; two-step daughters, Teenya Bumgarner Weist and Sheree Bumgarner; one brother, Kenneth Call of Wilkesboro; two sisters, Patricia Darnell and Janet Staley, both of Wilkesboro.&bsp; Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, Kassie, Kyle, Kole, Kollin, Kolton, Kaden, Katie and Kelly Johnson, and 1 step-granddaughter, Jada Troitino.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2008 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, with Rev. Dean Elliot officiating.
