Surviving are three brothers, Samuel Petty of Atlanta, Ga., Rayford T. Petty of Maryland and Robert K. Petty of Tryon. Also, four sisters, Rachel McMillan of Skyland, N.C., Linda Jackson, Vera A. Petty and Diane Twitty, all of Tryon, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Cannon and Sons Mortuary, 703 N. Randolph Ave., Landrum. Burial will be at the Stoney Knoll Church cemetery, Mill Spring, N.C.
