A native of Polk County, she was the daughter of the late Ealey and Dessie Bailey Owensby and wife of the late Bobby Joe Greene, Sr.

She was a member of Mill Spring First Baptist Church and retired from Rutherford Hospital.

She is survived by two sons, Johnny Greene (Dawn) of Boiling Springs, Bobby J. Greene, Jr. (Debra) of Green Creek; four daughters Rhonda G. Blackwell of New Prospect, Belinda G. Painter (Allen) of Mill Spring, Teresa G. Painter (Billy Brown) of Roebuck and Sheila G. McDowell of Green Creek; two brothers, Wayne Owensby of Mill Spring and R.B. Owensby of Hendersonville; a sister, Celia Greene of Mill Spring; 13 grandchildren Carrie Hill (Mike), Mike Jackson (Amy), Joey Painter (Wendy), Lee Painter, Angie G. Jackson (Brent), Ashlea Greene, Claude Painter, Bobby J. Greene, III, Brandy McDowell, Chad Painter, Casey McDowell, Kalie Bishop and Kyle Madore; eight great grandchildren, Kristen Loudin, Makayla Meritt, Seth Hill, Malichi Painter, Claudia Painter, Kaylea Jackson, Chase Painter, and Jonathan Painter.

She was predeceased by brothers and sisters, Colleen, Ray, Zane and Jay Owensby, Cleo Bradley, Lois Gilbert and Joe Owensby.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Mill Spring First Baptist Church.&bsp; The family will receive friends 2 to 3 p.m.before the service.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 130 Forest Glen Drive, Columbus, NC&bsp; 28722. The family is at their respective homes.
