A native of Mystic, Conn., he was the son of the late Earle Frederick and Margaret Manchester Christianson and husband of Shirley Carlson Christianson.

He was of the Catholic faith, worked for Agfa in research and development, a U.S. Navy veteran, active tennis player, motorcyclist and dedicated family man.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Todd (Michele) Christianson of Columbia, S.C., Earle (Shana) Christianson of Gorham, Maine, Gregory (Sharon) Christianson of Bedminster, N.J.; a daughter, Jennifer Christianson of Worcester, Mass.; two brothers, Barry Christianson of Conn. and Bruce Christianson of La.; seven grandchildren, Danielle, Christian, Gabriel, Benjamin, Madelyne, Kathryn and Ainsley.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 20 at Petty Funeral Chapel, conducted by Pastor Erick Estep. The family will receive friends from 10 – 11 a.m. prior to the service.
