TBOM officials say many families of school-aged children in Polk County are struggling to make ends meet, and face going without food. In response to this, TBOM, along with the schools and other community agencies, now provides packs of six nutritious, kid-friendly meals for each student every weekend along with a family meal that is delivered to each school on Friday and is sent home with students. The packages contain items such as tuna, beanie weenies, cereal, shelf stable milk, fruit, pudding cups, crackers and macaroni and cheese.
