Like most avid gardeners, I was looking forward to the end of winter. Spring is finally here and with that, the opening of our favorite garden centers. What a pleasant surprise was in store for those of us who visited the Down to Earth Home and Garden Center on April 1.  In addition to the beautiful plant material and garden hardware, there was the transformation of the former Christmas shop.  Drummond House is located in the back room and filled with really great furniture pieces, as well as gifts, lamps and accessories. As expected, Gillian Drummond put her design talents to work, creating a beautiful, bright and sunny room with a garden theme. What a great idea and just what Tryon needed! The art in the front room will appeal to a great many tastes. The best part of all is there is no longer a need to travel to find great quality furniture!
