Gail Elizabeth Berk, 57, of Tryon, N.C. went home rejoicing with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Feb. 26, 2016 after a nearly year-long battle with lung cancer.

Gail was born on Aug. 14, 1958 in St. Paul, Minn., the third of four children. The Berks moved to Tryon in August 2010.

Gail is survived by her loving husband, David; children Jeremy Baller of White Bear Lake, Minn., Stephanie (Charles) Cole of Tampa, Fla., Tessa Baller of Brandon, Fla; grandchildren Hunter Baller and Emily Cole; parents Len and Betty Olson (Bradenton, Fla.); brother Dan (Julie) Olson of Stanwood Wash.; sister Julie (Tom) Flaherty of Hudson, Wisc.; brother Chris (MaryAnn) Olson of Palmetto, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews, special friends and four spoiled felines.

Memorial services will be held at Tryon Seventh-day Adventist Church, 2820 Lynn Road, Tryon, N.C. on Tuesday, March 1. Visitation will be from 5:30 – 6 p.m., service from 6-7 p.m. with a short reception to follow.
